El curso 2022-2023 estará marcado por la conmemoración del cincuenta aniversario de la muerte de nuestro artista más internacional, Pablo Ruíz Picasso. Desde la sección bilingüe vamos a acercarnos a la figura de tan relevante personaje a través de las diferentes asignaturas. Como en el curso anterior, llevaremos a cabo una muestra de los productos realizados para todo el instituto sobre el mes de marzo.

Por otro lado, queremos darle la bienvenida a la asignatura de Música, que se incorpora en este curso escolar a nuestra familia bilingüe. 

The 2022-2023 school year will be marked by the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of our most international artist, Pablo Ruíz Picasso. From the bilingual section we are going to approach such an important character through the different subjects. As in the previous year, we will show the resulting products to our school community by the month of March.

On the other hand, we would like to welcome the subject of Music, new in our bilingual family this school year.

 Comenzamos un nuevo curso 2021-2022, a pesar de la pandemia. Ya en el curso anterior conseguimos superarla y en este nuevo año escolar seguiremos trabajando duro para ganarle la batalla. Le damos la bienvenida a los alumnos de 1º ESO y a los nuevos profesores que se han incorporado a  la enseñanza bilingüe en nuestro centro, así como al nuevo Auxiliar de Conversación Agustin Celentano, que viene con muchas ganas de trabajar con nuestros alumnos. Este año volveremos a llevar a cabo el intercambio con el instituto danés Vestfyn de Glamsbjerg para los alumnos de 1º de Bachillerato, además del proyecto Erasmus+ para alumnos de ESO. Confiamos en poder realizar todos los proyectos con éxito y seguir avanzando en nuestro conocimiento de la lengua inglesa como lengua vehicular dentro del instituto.

We are starting a new school year 2021-2022, despite the pandemic. In the previous year, we managed to overcome it successfully and in this new school year we will continue working hard to win the battle. We would like to welcome the 1st ESO students and the new teachers who have joined the bilingual teaching in our school, as well as the new  Assistant Agustin Celentano, who is eager to work with our students. This year we will once again carry out the exchange with the Danish High School Vestfyn, in Glamsbjerg, for students of 1st year of non compulsary secondary school, in addition to the Erasmus + project for ESO students. We are confident that we will be able to carry out all the projects successfully and continue to advance in our knowledge of the English language as a vehicular language within our school.

En el curso escolar 2020-2021 se ha graduado en nuestro centro la primera promoción de alumnado bilingüe. Han sido cuatro años de trabajo duro en los que nuestros estudiantes se han enfrentado a retos complicados y que,  en general, han superado brillantemente. Desde este blog, queremos felicitar a todas las partes implicadas en la consecución del objetivo logrado: en primer lugar al alumnado, por haber estado siempre a la altura de lo exigido, sin  miedo y sin tirar la toalla; al profesorado por haber sido capaz de ilusionarlos a seguir trabajando en inglés, a pesar del reto que suponía; y por supuesto, a las familias, que siempre han estado ahí apoyando y apostando por el proyecto bilingüe.

In the 2020-2021 school year, the first classes of bilingual students graduated from our centre. Four years of hard work in which our students have faced difficult challenges that, in general, they have overcome brilliantly. From this blog, we want to congratulate everyone involved in the the objective achieved: first of all, the students, for having always been up to the demands, without fear and without giving up;  the teaching staff, for having been able to inspire them to continue working in English, despite such a difficult challenge; and of course,  the families, who have always been there supporting their children and the bilingual project.

Nuevo Curso Escolar / New School Year 2018-2019

Este nuevo curso 2018-2019 comienza con la ampliación de la enseñanza bilingüe a 2º ESO. Además de las asignaturas de Biología y EPVA en 1º ESO, hemos ampliado la oferta bilingüe con la asignatura de Historia. En 2º ESO, las asignaturas bilingües son Física y Química, EPVA y Geografía e Historia.

This new  school year (2017-2018) begins with the extension of bilingual education to 2º ESO. In addition to the subjects of Biology and EPVA (Visual and Audiovisual Arts) in 1º ESO, we have expanded the bilingual offer with the subject of History. In 2º ESO, the bilingual subjects are Physics and Chemistry, EPVA(Visual and Audiovisual Arts) and Geography and History.

Nuestro Centro / Our school

Nuestro IES se encuentra situado en pleno corazón del barrio de Nervión, junto a otros centros de enseñanza y a diferentes instalaciones deportivas. En nuestro centro se imparten las enseñanzas de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, Bachillerato, Ciclos Formativos de grado medio y superior de las familias de Imagen personal y de Administración y Gestión, y Formación Profesional Básica.

Este curso escolar 2017-2018, hemos iniciado la andadura en el campo del bilingüismo con dos grupos en 1º ESO, en donde se imparten las asignaturas de Biología y de EPVA tanto en español como en inglés. Nuestro objetivo es conseguir que el alumnado adquiera o mejore su competencia lingüística a través de un proceso natural de inmersión en la lengua inglesa, en donde la comunicación e interacción oral serán los vehículos principales.

Views of the schoolyard

Our school is located in the very heart of the Nervión neighborhood, next to other schools and to different sports facilities. In our school, Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Studies of Personal Image and Administration and Management, and Basic Vocational studies are taught.

This school year 2017-2018, we have started the journey in the field of bilingualism with two groups in 1st ESO, where the subjects of Biology and EPVA (Visual and Audiovisual Arts) are taught in both Spanish and English. Our goal is to ensure that students acquire or improve their linguistic competence through a natural process of immersion in the English language, where communication and oral interaction will be the main vehicles.
